REAL STORY BEHIND APRIL FOOL'S DAY. IN 1582, POPE GREGORY XIII ADOPTED NEW GREGORIAN CALENDAR WHICH MOVED OUR YEAR FROM APRIL 1ST TO JANUARY 1ST. THIS WAS WIDELY ADVERTISED BUT STILL SOME PEOPLE MISSED IT & KEPT CELEBRATING THE NEW YEAR ON 1ST APRIL. THEY WERE SEEN AS FOOLS AND HENCE THIS DAY.
